As you might guess from the above list: yes, I'm moving. (The fact that it takes this to get me to hand off books I have no interest in reading/re-reading is, uh, an interesting observation, yes it is.) Hiked over the new place this morning, partially to see how long it would take me (an hour and a half), and partially because I've been teasing my new roommates-to-be with the idea of putting my statue of Thoth on the mantelpiece, so of course I had to follow through. I mean -- mantelpiece! Thoth statue! A Cthulu plushy would've been better, but one works with what one has. I tried to make do by putting a plesiosaur on the mantel next to him.
The random Mardi Gras beads now draped on random door-handles have no excuse, though. Not even a specious one.
In the meantime, it's down to the slow process of packing, cleaning, and sorting. And figuring out whether I'm right that since I haven't signed a lease renewal since my new landlord took over (six years ago), that I am indeed now on month-to-month. And, of course, job-hunting. Whee.
